Your information, in Pointer.

Pointer connects a public website to a domain you control. This page explains the information used to provide that service. For privacy questions or a data request, email nathan@ojieame.design.

Your account

We store your name, email address, account identifier and signed-in sessions. Email accounts use a password hash, not a readable password. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your account identifier, name, email, verification status and, when available, profile image. We use these details to create or sign in to your Pointer account. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or your other Google content. Google sign-in tokens retained by Pointer are encrypted.

Your connections

We store the public source URLs and destination domains you save, DNS ownership proofs, connection status, checks and operational events. Connecting DNS through Cloudflare gives Pointer temporary access to read your zone and add the displayed DNS records. These tokens are encrypted while needed and are removed after revocation or expiry is confirmed. A failed revocation can retain an encrypted token for a retry.

Website delivery and cookies

Pointer fetches public pages and assets from your selected source to serve them on your domain. It does not forward a visitor’s cookies or Authorization header to that source. The mirrored page may itself load third-party resources or run scripts governed by their providers’ policies. Pointer’s account uses necessary session cookies. Network providers process request information such as IP addresses, URLs and browser details; Pointer uses bounded operational checks and logs to diagnose failures and prevent abuse.

Service providers

Pointer uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for application hosting, storage and website delivery; DigitalOcean hosts the Caddy delivery server. Resend delivers account verification and password-reset emails. Google handles Google sign-in when you choose it. These providers process information needed for their part of the service and may process it in other countries. Pointer does not sell your Google account information or use it for advertising.

Keeping and removing information

Account and saved-connection data remain while needed to operate your account. You can pause or remove a connection in My sites. Removal stops its Pointer delivery; DNS records in your provider account remain under your control. Remove saved connections before deleting your account in Account settings. Account deletion removes the account’s credentials and sessions; connection history and provider operational records may remain for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Contact us to request access, correction or removal of remaining information. Google-only users can use password recovery to set the password currently required by the account-deletion form.

You can also remove Pointer’s access from your Google or Cloudflare account. We update this page when the service’s handling of information changes.
